How We’re Rethinking Marketing at YourRentl

(and Why You Might Want to Know)

NOTES FROM OTHER COMMS

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been quietly running a fresh campaign to re-engage some of our earliest clients—people who first found us under names like Azure Online or Everything Cannes.

It’s part marketing, part archaeology, and very much part of a bigger shift in how we think about communicating what YourRentl actually is today.

We’ve built a streamlined presentation, sharpened up our email voice, and begun experimenting with how we reach people—whether they booked with us last week or 15 years ago. (If you're curious, here’s a peek at that campaign - purely for interest, no sales pitch.)

But the real story isn’t the campaign itself. The real story is this:

We’re evolving how we talk, not just what we offer.

Because the truth is, platforms like Airbnb have created a noisy, fragmented landscape. Anyone can list a property. Very few can run a guest experience, tech stack, compliance process, and owner relationship in a way that actually delivers value at scale.

So instead of just “marketing properties,” we’re starting to share how we market, why we’re doing it this way, and what it means for owners, agents, and guests who are part of our network.

This Beehiiv space is where I want to unpack that thinking—not as a broadcast, but as an ongoing conversation. That includes showing a bit of the behind-the-scenes process, the tools we’re testing, the strategies that work (and those that flop), and where we’re hoping to take it next.

If you're in our network—maybe you're an owner, a CSR, a property agent, or just someone who's watched the story from the sidelines—I’d love your thoughts.

How do you want to hear from us?

What kind of stories or insights would actually interest you?

Is this kind of transparency useful, or just noise?

Hit reply, comment, or forward this to someone who might want in. We’re building this in real time, and it’s better with you in it.

Warmly,
Lao
